What BDS does to Palestinians

Jobs, healthcare, research, and cooperation lost to boycotts; the moderates it silences.

  BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) harms the people it claims to serve. When SodaStream closed its Mishor Adumim plant in 2015 after a boycott campaign, about 500 Palestinian employees lost jobs that paid roughly NIS 5,000 a month. The movement's anti-normalization guidelines forbid joint Palestinian-Israeli business, dialogue and peace-building unless the Israeli side first adopts the movement's platform, and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas said in December 2013 that the PA does not support a boycott of Israel.
