StopBDSinToronto.ca is published by the Toronto Coalition Against Racist Boycotts. The coalition opposes the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) campaign against Israel because it is discriminatory, antisemitic, and harmful to the Palestinians it claims to help. BDS is harmful to the Canadian economy and culture. This site documents some of what BDS is, what it has done in Toronto and Canada, and what governments, courts, and universities have said about it.

Who we are

Toronto Coalition Against Racist Boycotts is an informal gathering of Torontonians who had enough of the violent, racist BDS movement in Canada. We are not a registered organization, and we have no staff and no outside funding. We publish what the public record shows, so that anyone can check it for themselves.

Our position

The coalition’s positions are stated plainly on every page. BDS singles out the world’s only Jewish state for a blanket campaign of exclusion, turns Israeli nationality and Jewish identity into grounds for discrimination, undermines the cooperation that improves Palestinian lives, and attacks academic freedom on Toronto’s campuses. Readers will find the evidence for each of these conclusions, with sources, on the relevant pages.

How we work

Every factual claim on this site cites a source, and primary sources come first: parliamentary and legislative records, court decisions, official university statements, external reviews, and statistical agencies. Positions are the coalition’s own and are labelled as such. The full method is described on the methodology page. Any error we are shown is corrected in place and recorded on the corrections page.

The site is produced by volunteers and receives no outside funding.
